Sales Director – Africa & Middle East Diesel Generator & Light Tower Business

Pramac , part of the Generac Group—the third largest diesel generator and leading gas generator manufacturer globally—is seeking a Sales Director to lead and grow its commercial presence across Africa and selected Middle East markets (excluding Saudi Arabia and Bahrain).

The position is based at the company’s regional hub in Bahrain with a team also based in Dubai.


As a global leader in power generation, energy storage, and light tower systems, Pramac is expanding its operations across high-potential markets in the region. This role is key to consolidating our presence and accelerating growth across frontier and developing economies.


The Sales Director will be responsible not only for defining and executing the regional go-to-market strategy, but also for coordinating a multifunctional team composed of sales representatives, application engineers, and service personnel, ensuring both commercial success and technical excellence in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy for Africa and Middle East (excluding KSA & Bahrain), aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional regional team including salespeople, application engineers, and aftersales/service professionals.
  • Build and manage a robust network of distributors, dealers, and key accounts to strengthen market penetration.
  • Drive commercial performance through effective planning, pipeline management, and execution of key projects and tenders.
  • Monitor and anticipate market trends, competitive dynamics, and infrastructure investment across the region.
  • Ensure technical support and aftersales services meet customer expectations, in collaboration with the service and engineering teams.
  • Report performance and insights regularly to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong track record in sales and team leadership in the power generation or industrial equipment sector.
  • Solid experience in managing distributor networks and direct sales in Africa and/or Middle East.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams including sales and technical profiles.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and hands-on leadership style.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; French and/or Arabic are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned territories.
