Sales Engineer

Bid Preparation & Tender Management:


  • Prepare and manage government tenders in accordance with legal and technical requirements.

  • Compile all necessary documentation and coordinate the submission process within deadlines.

  • Ensure alignment with client requirements and internal policies throughout the bidding process.

Market Promotion & Client Engagement:
  • Promote industrial equipment by conducting scheduled client visits and presentations.

  • Utilize various communication channels (emails, calls, digital platforms) to introduce new products and innovations.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance trust and brand loyalty.

Field Visits & Technical Support:
  • Conduct regular field visits to prospective and current clients.

  • Provide on-site demonstrations of equipment functionality and value-added features.

  • Offer technical support to clients, assisting in product evaluation and selection before purchase.

Market Research & Client Database Management:
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and customer needs.

  • Analyze competitors, identify potential opportunities, and update internal records accordingly.

  • Maintain and expand the client database through structured follow-ups and lead generation.

Technical Proposals & Project Coordination:
  • Prepare tailored technical proposals in collaboration with the installation and engineering departments.

  • Oversee the equipment delivery process, ensuring coordination from dispatch to on-site installation.

  • Conduct operational tests post-delivery to ensure equipment performance meets specifications.

Sales Targets & Strategy Alignment:
  • Work towards achieving individual and departmental sales targets within specified timeframes.

  • Align sales efforts with the company's broader sales strategy and market positioning.

  • Adapt sales approach based on feedback, performance data, and market conditions.

Reporting & Documentation:
  • Submit regular reports on client visits, sales progress, and market feedback to the Sales Manager.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategy and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications.

Competitive Analysis & Strategic Insights:
  • Monitor competitors’ pricing, product offerings, and promotional strategies.

  • Provide internal feedback and propose adjustments to product positioning and pricing models.

  • Contribute to maintaining the company’s competitive edge in the market.




Requirements


Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering from a reputable institution.

  • Additional certifications in sales, marketing, or project management are an advantage.

Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience in industrial equipment sales or a related technical sales field.

  • Hands-on experience with tender preparation, technical proposals, and client support.

  • Experience in managing the sales cycle from lead generation to post-sales support.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment specifications and technical documentation.

  • Familiarity with interpreting equipment layouts and performing basic operational tests.

  • Ability to prepare technical documents and sales proposals professionally.

Sales & Client Management Skills:
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of identifying client needs and providing appropriate solutions.

Field & Coordination Skills:
  • Willingness to travel regularly for field visits and client meetings.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical teams, logistics, and clients.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Personal Attributes:
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
