Position Summary: As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the power, water, and industry market. This role requires a motivated self-starter with established connections in process industries and a proven ability to deliver results in a competitive market.

Must be able to travel nationwide on a consistent schedule to identify, meet, and secure new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales plan to target key accounts and identify new business opportunities in the South, South-East and West coast.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Provide technical product knowledge and support to customers, ensuring they understand the value and benefits of Bernard Controls’ solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, R&D, and customer service, to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the company’s growth strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in sales of industrial goods, preferably within process industries.
  • Established connections and relationships within process industries.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field (i.e. Automation, Electrical Eng).
  • Background / experience in automation or flow control is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel nationwide frequently to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with strong problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
