Job SummaryThe Sales & Marketing Executive will be responsible for expanding the company’s market share for automation and electrical products and solutions. This role requires a technical understanding of products, strong sales skills, and the ability to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to achieve sales targets. Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Business Development
- Generate leads: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold-calling, networking, trade shows, and other channels.
- Manage sales cycle: Guide potential customers from initial contact through to closing deals. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and technical proposals.
- Meet sales targets: Actively work to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
- Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, dealers, and distributors.
Marketing and Promotion
- Develop strategy: Create and implement marketing strategies for electrical and automation products.
- Conduct market research: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform marketing plans.
- Produce marketing materials: Collaborate with technical and creative teams to create product literature, presentations, and promotional content.
- Organize events: Plan and participate in trade shows, seminars, and other industry events.
Technical and Product Support
- Provide technical expertise: Offer technical consultation and support to customers regarding electrical and automation products, such as PLCs, SCADA systems, switchgear, and sensors.
- Demonstrate products: Conduct in-depth product presentations and demonstrations for clients.
- Relay feedback: Gather customer insights and market data for the product development and engineering teams.
Reporting and Administration
- Track performance: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sales and marketing activities. Analyze sales data and metrics.
- Maintain CRM: Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to track client interactions, sales activities, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Report expenses: Submit regular expense claims and sales activity reports to management.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.
- Experience: Proven sales and marketing experience within the electrical, automation, or a related industrial sector.
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and industrial automation products and systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Soft skills: The ability to build relationships, solve problems, and manage time effectively is crucial.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events is often a requirement.
