Engineer Sales Manager - Specialized Roofing Solutions

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Engineer Sales Manager with 3-4 years of experience to drive the growth of our specialized roofing solutions business. This role is ideal for a candidate who can blend strong engineering knowledge with compelling sales strategy, serving as the critical link between our technical offerings and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Business Development:
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for specialized roofing, waterproofing, and facade projects within the industrial and commercial segments.
Conduct market research to understand current trends, competitor activities, and potential product/service demands.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, consultants, contractors (EPC/Civil), and end-clients.
Act as the primary technical point of contact, presenting the value proposition of our specialized systems.
Technical Consultation & Proposal Generation:
Analyze client project specifications and requirements to recommend the most suitable and cost-effective specialized roofing/envelope system.
Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients and decision-makers.
Project Coordination:
Liaise closely with the internal engineering, estimation, and project execution teams to ensure accurate project handovers and client satisfaction from concept to completion.
Assist in negotiating contract terms and closing sales.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field is mandatory.
Experience: 3 to 4 years of proven technical sales experience, preferably in specialized construction materials, building envelopes, roofing, waterproofing, or structural engineering solutions.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of building codes, materials science, structural integrity, and application methods related to commercial/industrial roofing and construction.
Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English and [Mention local language if necessary, e.g., Hindi].
Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory for client meetings and site visits.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
