Job Description:

The Sales Engineer represents the technical and commercial face of EcoPower to clients. This unique role combines a deep engineering understanding of energy storage systems (BESS/HESS) with advanced sales skills. The Sales Engineer is not just a salesperson, but a trusted technical consultant who helps clients (contractors, developers, and government entities) understand how the ECOPOWER Al Ain facility's products can solve their energy challenges. The role requires an exceptional ability to translate complex technical specifications of batteries into tangible commercial value for the client.

Strategic and Operational Objectives:

  • Market Penetration: Introduce the battery systems manufactured in ECOPOWER Al Ain into major renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the UAE and the region.
  • Achieving Revenue Targets: Reach and exceed the specified sales quotas for BESS and HESS systems.
  • Building Partnerships: Establish long-term strategic relationships with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies and solar energy project developers.
  • Market Feedback: Provide the R&D team at the facility with market requirements and customer preferences to guide future battery product development.

Internal Tasks (Daily Operations):

  • Market Analysis and Prospecting: Daily research for new projects and tenders requiring energy storage systems, and initial outreach to decision-makers.
  • Preparing Technical Proposals: Work closely with the team at the facility to design customized solutions based on client requirements and calculate the required battery capacity.
  • Commercial Pricing: Prepare quotations based on manufacturing costs at the Al Ain facility, ensuring competitive profit margins.
  • Meetings and Presentations: Hold daily meetings (in-person or virtually) with clients to deliver presentations on the efficiency and lifespan of our battery cells and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Updating CRM: Daily documentation of all client interactions and updating the status of deals in the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Cycle Management: Lead the entire sales process from lead generation to closing the deal and signing contracts.
  • Technical Consulting: Provide technical support to clients during the pre-sales phase, answering complex inquiries related to energy density, charge/discharge cycles, and battery safety standards.
  • Tender Management: Lead the process of preparing and submitting complex tenders, ensuring the facility's products comply with the terms and specifications.
  • Post-Sales Coordination: Act as a liaison between the client and the project management/production team at the facility to ensure battery systems are delivered according to the agreed schedule and specifications.
  • Company Representation: Attend specialized exhibitions and conferences in the energy sector to promote the Al Ain facility's products and build a broad network of relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in engineering sales (B2B), with at least 2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, electrical systems, or specifically Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, or Renewable Energy). Additional studies in business administration or sales are an advantage.
  • Certifications: Certified training courses in Consultative Selling or Key Account Management.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to simplify complex engineering concepts (such as lithium-ion behavior and cooling systems) for non-technical clients.
  • High-level negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to handle objections and close deals.
  • Deep understanding of the dynamics of the energy market in the UAE and GCC, and grid connection regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (such as Salesforce or HubSpot).
  • Languages: Full fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) to deliver presentations and prepare professional contracts.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
