Role Purpose
The
Sales Engineer – Mining
is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic customer relationships within the mining sector. The role focuses on driving sales growth, increasing market share, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering customer-focused commercial solutions aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
The position plays a critical role in strengthening long-term partnerships with key mining clients while ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management & Business Growth

Develop and manage a portfolio of strategic accounts within the mining sector.

Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and profitability across assigned customers.

Identify new business opportunities, upcoming projects, and expansion areas within the mining industry.

Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with commercial and organizational objectives.

Support business development initiatives to secure new customers and long-term contracts.
2. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders, including:

Procurement teams

Operations Managers
-
Site Leadership
-
Decision-makers

Conduct regular customer visits, account reviews, and business meetings to understand operational requirements and future business needs.

Act as the primary point of contact for strategic mining customers.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term partnerships.
3. Commercial & Technical Solution Delivery

Understand customer operations, technical challenges, and project requirements to deliver effective commercial solutions.

Ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries, operational issues, and service requirements.

4. Contract Management & Commercial Negotiation

Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals.

Prepare and manage tenders, bids, quotations, and commercial proposals.

Ensure achievement of sales targets, profitability objectives, and contractual commitments.

Monitor contract execution and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms and conditions.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

Monitor mining industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

Identify potential business opportunities among existing and prospective customers.

Prepare regular reports on:

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mining, or related field.

Minimum
3–5 years of experience
in Key Account Management & Sales

Business Development within the
Mining, Heavy Machinery, Industrial, or Equipment sectors
.

Proven experience managing strategic customer relationships and commercial accounts.

Experience in the Saudi Arabian or GCC market is preferred.
