Water Treatment Sales & Service Engineer – Formulated Chemicals (Oman-Based)

We are seeking a technically strong and field-experienced Water Treatment Sales & Service Engineer to lead and expand our Formulated Water Treatment Chemicals division in Oman.

This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience in companies such as Nalco, Thermax, Ion Exchange, VA Tech Wabag, SUEZ, or similar water treatment organizations.

This is a field-intensive role requiring both technical service execution and commercial sales responsibility.

Product & Application Scope

• Cooling water treatment programs
• Boiler water treatment programs
• RO antiscalants and membrane treatment chemicals
• Closed loop corrosion control programs
• Biocides, dispersants, scale inhibitors
• Cleaning, passivation, and specialty formulations

Target Industries

• Petrochemical & Polymer Industries
• Refineries & Process Plants
• Power Plants
• Heavy Industrial Manufacturing
• Food & Beverage Industries
• Large utility and cooling tower systems

Key Responsibilities1️ Technical Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new industrial clients
• Conduct site visits and system assessments
• Propose customized chemical treatment programs
• Convert competitor accounts

2️ Field Service & Technical Execution (Mandatory)

• Conduct on-site water testing and analysis
• Interpret water analysis reports
• Monitor cooling tower, boiler, and RO system performance
• Adjust chemical dosing programs as required
• Troubleshoot scaling, corrosion, and fouling issues
• Lead service activities with technicians and support staff
• Maintain service reports and performance logs

This role requires the candidate to actively participate in service activities, not just sales coordination.

3️ Commercial & Account Management

• Prepare technical-commercial proposals
• Develop annual or long-term service contracts
• Monitor chemical consumption and optimize treatment efficiency
• Ensure regular follow-up and client retention

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry
• 3–7 years experience in industrial water treatment
• Prior experience with Nalco, Thermax, Ion Exchange, SUEZ, VA Tech, or similar companies preferred
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cooling towers
• Boiler systems
• RO systems
• Corrosion control and dosing programs
• Ability to interpret water analysis reports
• Ability to perform on-site water testing and treatment monitoring
• Capability to lead field service activities
• Valid Oman or GCC Driving License
• Willingness to travel extensively within Oman
