Sales Engineer – Service & Trading

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer – Service & Trading is responsible for driving business growth by promoting mechanical maintenance services, refurbishment solutions, and industrial spare parts trading across sectors such as oil & gas, power generation, utilities, water treatment, and petrochemical industries. The role acts as a technical and commercial bridge between customers and internal teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities for valve servicing, boiler maintenance, turbine maintenance, calibration, machining, and industrial spare parts trading.
  • Handle client inquiries, RFQs, technical discussions, site visits, and prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients including ADNOC, TAQA, EPC contractors, power plants, and industrial facilities across the UAE.
  • Promote services related to control valves, safety valves, boilers, turbines, flow meters, and mechanical equipment refurbishment.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, procurement, and QA/QC teams for smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Source and supply industrial spare parts, valve internals, instrumentation items, and related mechanical components.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and client safety requirements during site activities and project execution.
  • Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and achieve assigned sales and profitability targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical service sales, industrial maintenance, or spare parts trading within the UAE/GCC market.
  • Knowledge of valves, boilers, turbines, flow meters, calibration, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC/TAQA standards and working procedures is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prepare technical and commercial proposals independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • UAE driving license preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Office and site-based role involving regular visits to plants, refineries, power stations, and industrial facilities.
  • Flexibility to support shutdowns, emergency maintenance requirements, and client meetings when needed.
