Sales & Event Manager

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Event Sales Manager role is responsible to spearhead the development and growth of the events pillar, driving substantial revenue growth and increasing footfall of each of the Company property of Pura Eco Retreat in the UAE. The role oversees the entire group event sales process, from identifying and nurturing leads to successfully closing deals. The role will be pivotal in positioning the Company as a premier destination for an eco-friendly events, experiences, and other special occasions.

MAIN DUTIES

· Event Sales Strategy

o Develop and implement a comprehensive event sales strategy that aligns with the overall Company’s objectives and revenue targets.

o Identify target markets, segments, and niches for events, conducting market research for all the Company properties to all stay ahead of industry trends.

o Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling event packages and promotional materials to attract potential clients of each property

o Continuously evaluate and adjust the sales strategy based on market feedback and performance data.

· Lead Generation and Client Acquisition

o Proactively identify and engage with potential clients, including event and experience planners and corporate clients.

o Build and maintain a robust database of leads, tracking interactions, and ensuring regular follow-ups.

o Attend industry-related events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the eco retreat's client base.

o Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with event planning agencies and industry influencers to increase referrals.

· Social Media and Online Presence

o Develop and execute a social media strategy to promote the Company property events, showcasing its unique features and sustainable practices.

o Create engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms to increase brand visibility and attract event inquiries.

o Monitor social media channels for guest inquiries and reviews, responding promptly and professionally.

o Collaborate with influencers and online communities to enhance the brand online presence and reputation.

· Consultative Selling

o Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective clients to understand their event needs and goals.

o Tailor event proposals and packages to meet the unique requirements of each client.

o Effectively communicate the value proposition of hosting events at the Company property, highlighting sustainability and unique offerings.

o Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on event planning, logistics, and customization options.

· Relationship Management

o Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the event planning process.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including each properties operations and F&B team, to ensure seamless event execution and exceed client expectations.

o Seek and act on client feedback to continuously improve the event experience and increase client satisfaction.

o Maintain a comprehensive client database and utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track client interactions, preferences, and feedback.

o Implement client appreciation initiatives and encourage repeat business by offering loyalty incentives.

· Market Positioning and Brand Building

o Contribute to the development of marketing strategies that promote each of the Company property’s unique value proposition in the events industry.

o Collaborate with the marketing team to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives focused on event sales of each property.

o Enhance the Company reputation as a sustainable and environmentally conscious event venue.

o Monitor competitor activities and market trends, adjusting marketing efforts accordingly.

· Revenue Generation and Budget Management

o Collaborate with the finance department and senior management to create a detailed event sales budget that encompasses all aspects of the sales process with the Company.

o Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and revenue goals for the events pillar.

o Manage and negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to maximize profitability while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

o Monitor and manage the events budget, making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation.

o Identify and explore upselling opportunities to increase event revenue.

o Develop contingency plans for potential financial risks and uncertainties, such as economic downturns or unforeseen disruptions.

· Reporting and Analytics

o Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and contracts using CRM software.

o Regularly analyse sales data and key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.

o Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to the senior management team and DCT.

o Utilize analytics to provide insights and recommendations for refining the event sales strategy.

· Compliance and Legal Matters

o Ensure that all event contracts and agreements adhere to legal and ethical standards as per the local government regulations.

o Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, permits, and licensing requirements of each of the property for hosting events.

o Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations.

· Align event sales strategies with the brands storytelling theme. Emphasize each property’s unique narrative to potential clients and how their events can be integrated into this theme.

· Handle event inquiries and bookings with discretion, respecting the privacy and confidentiality of clients and their event details.

· Establish confidentiality agreements to protect sensitive event information.

· Build personal relationships with potential and existing clients. Understand their event needs and preferences, ensuring that their experience is tailored to their expectations.

Be Knowledgeable

· Develop a comprehensive understanding of the each property’s ecological and cultural narratives. Be able to communicate these narratives effectively to potential clients.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.

· MBA preferred.

Experience:

· Proven experience in event sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

· Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.

· Strong understanding of the events industry, including trends and competitors.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

· Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

· Sustainability and eco-conscious mindset is a plus.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
