Sales Role – Textile Machinery Distribution (Independent IC)

Location: Sharjah, UAE
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reporting To: Head of Sales

This is a specialized sales role requiring deep knowledge of textile machinery and accessories within the UAE and regional markets. The incumbent will operate as an independent individual contributor, responsible for end-to-end business development—from lead generation and cold calling to technical discussions, deal closure, and after-sales coordination.

The role is ideal for a self-driven sales expert who thrives in a niche B2B distribution environment, balancing technical know-how with commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and target potential textile manufacturers, traders, and distributors.
  • Execute cold calling, client visits, and networking in industry events/exhibitions.
  • Sales & Negotiation
  • Conduct needs analysis with clients and propose suitable machinery/solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical/commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals independently.
  • Account Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure repeat business.
  • Provide post-sales support in coordination with technical/service teams.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging textile technology.
  • Recommend product positioning strategies to management.
  • End-to-End Ownership
  • Independently handle sales pipeline from prospecting → closure.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM/reporting tools.
  • Ensure compliance with ABM Code of Conduct and UAE trade regulations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of textile machinery applications (sewing, embroidery, cutting, finishing, etc.)
  • Excellent B2B sales & negotiation skills
  • Ability to independently manage sales cycle without support
  • Technical aptitude to discuss specifications with engineers/factory managers
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Textile Technology (preferred)
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in textile machinery sales/distribution in GCC or international markets
  • Existing client network in UAE textile/garment industry (advantageous)
  • Valid UAE driving license required

KPIs / Performance Metrics

  • Revenue target achievement (quarterly/annual)
  • Number of new client accounts opened
  • Pipeline coverage ratio (leads vs. closures)
  • Customer retention rate
  • Gross margin per deal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
