Job Purpose:

To ensure effective coverage of assigned routes and achieve sales targets by taking advance orders from retail and wholesale customers. The Sales executive is responsible for maintaining product availability, promoting the company’s portfolio, collecting market intelligence, and ensuring excellent customer service to support daily delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Route Coverage & Sales Orders

  • Visit assigned customers daily as per approved journey plan.
  • Collect sales orders for the next delivery cycle (pre-sell model).
  • Ensure coverage of all outlets on the route, maintaining 100% call compliance.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shopkeepers and store managers.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Regularly update customers on promotions, new product launches, and schemes.

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of product features, pricing, promotions, and competitor activities.
  • Educate customers about product benefits to maximize product range distribution.

Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, weekly, and daily sales targets in volume and value.
  • Focus on increasing numeric and weighted distribution in the assigned area.

Merchandising & Visibility

  • Ensure product visibility at customer premises according to planograms.
  • Identify opportunities for secondary displays and point-of-sale material placement.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Collect and report market information on competitor prices, activities, and new products.
  • Provide daily sales and visit reports to the supervisor.

Coordination & Follow-up

  • Coordinate with delivery drivers and van salesmen to ensure timely deliveries based on orders taken.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the accounts team (if applicable).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales target achievement (volume & value)
  • Coverage efficiency (number of productive calls vs. planned calls)
  • Product availability and distribution KPIs
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Accuracy and timeliness of order collection
  • Execution of promotions and visibility plans

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 2–4 years of FMCG sales experience in UAE.
  • Familiarity with local Traditional Trade, Modern Trade, General Trade, and wholesale channels.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage.
  • Basic computer or handheld device skills (order entry, reporting).
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid UAE manual driving license (preferable, depending on the company setup).

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based role; must be willing to work outdoors in hot weather.
  • 6-day work week, flexible hours to cover early market openings and peak times.
  • Route-based travel within the assigned emirate(s).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
