In the role of Sales Engineer - Equipment Rental, you will report directly to the Country Manager and play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and achieving ambitious sales targets. Your deep understanding of sales dynamics combined with outstanding interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this position.
You will leverage your technical expertise and strong customer focus to drive sales growth by aligning solutions with client requirements. Working closely with the engineering and product development teams, you will ensure seamless implementation of sales strategies and business objectives
- Identify and develop new business leads through proactive market research and networking activities to increase footprint within the assigned territory.
- Become a subject matter expert on assigned industrial rental equipment, communicating complex technical information clearly and persuasively to customer stakeholders.
- Maintain current knowledge of product portfolios, competitive landscape, and company sales philosophies to craft compelling value propositions aligned with client needs and industry trends.
- Regularly analyse market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales approaches proactively, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and exceeding performance benchmarks.
- Prepare detailed weekly reports summarizing sales activities, market intelligence, and upcoming opportunities to inform management decision-making and sales planning.
- Deliver engaging and informative presentations and product demonstrations to a diverse range of customer decision-makers, tailoring messages to highlight solutions that address their specific operational challenges.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms effectively with prospective clients, balancing customer satisfaction with business profitability.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date client information is maintained within the CRM system (Salesforce), facilitating smooth order processing and follow-up activities.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding inquiries about credit terms, product availability, and pricing, delivering responsive and professional service at all times.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Service Operation Teams, sub-contractors, and customers to guarantee equipment quality and maintenance standards throughout the equipment leasing period.
- Provide timely responses to customer emergencies or concerns related to rental services, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues efficiently and maintaining customer satisfaction.

- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or a related technical field.
- Foundational knowledge of any construction equipment
- Proven experience working with industrial rental equipment or similar sectors.
- Strong grasp of sales methodologies and commercial dynamics, with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapid trust and rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service coupled with effective communication and persuasive sales techniques.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, enabling clear and professional communication.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business demands.
