Sales Executive (Shipping Industry)

Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose

To identify, develop, and manage business opportunities within the shipping and logistics sector, building strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets to ensure company growth and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new clients in shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics.
  • Promote company services including sea freight, air freight, NVOCC, and supply chain solutions.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned by management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and monitor competitor activity.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements with customers.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and client database (CRM).
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of sales experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of international trade, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
