Sales for Accounting Firm

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales professional to join our reputable accounting firm. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting to build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and promote our comprehensive range of accounting solutions. This is a 100% commission based contract position to begin with but the goal is to make this position a permanent employee of the business in the future.

Responsibilities

• Actively prospect and generate new client leads through networking, cold calling, and industry outreach to expand the firm’s customer base
• Present tailored accounting service solutions to prospective clients
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their accounting needs
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM systems to ensure consistent follow-up and engagement
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes including securities law updates, and emerging accounting concepts to effectively position our services in the marketplace

Requirements

• Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts like cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial statement interpretation
• Desire to develop or demonstrated success in developing new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and relationship management
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate sales records and client documentation
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• A passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals
