Sales Lead

Job Summary

Puppy Station in Marietta is seeking a compassionate, results-driven Sales Lead to guide our team and ensure an exceptional experience for every customer. The ideal candidate will combine a love for animals with proven leadership and sales skills to achieve store targets. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance to customers as they choose a new puppy, mentoring sales associates, and managing day-to-day store operations to support a positive, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Act as a role model for the sales team by demonstrating exceptional customer service and sales techniques. Train new and existing sales associates on product knowledge, sales strategies, and best practices for interacting with customers.

• Drive Sales: Motivate the team to meet and exceed sales quotas by setting clear goals and monitoring performance. You will actively assist in sales and match customers with the perfect puppy companion to complete their family.

• Customer Experience: Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs, lifestyle, and experience with pets. Educate potential owners on specific breeds, temperament, and care requirements to ensure a perfect match for both the family and the puppy.

• Operational Excellence: Support management in all daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, and handling cash transactions. Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and welcoming for guests.

• Animal Care: Maintain a high level of interest in the health and proper handling of all animals in the store. You will support the team in ensuring all puppies receive the best possible care.

• Resolve Issues: Address escalated customer service issues professionally and promptly, using excellent problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous retail experience is required, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

• Passion for Animals: A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is a must. Prior experience in the pet industry is a plus.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train staff, build rapport with customers, and handle conflict.

• Flexibility: The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
