Bennett Hospitality is seeking a Sales Manager to generate and maintain business across three Marriott properties in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina: the new Residence Inn Charleston – Patriot’s Point, the Courtyard by Marriott Mount Pleasant, and the Residence Inn by Marriott Mount Pleasant.

This individual will play a key role in the launch of the new Residence Inn Patriot’s Point while also supporting revenue growth across the portfolio. The Sales Manager will develop strong client relationships, actively pursue new corporate and group business, and position the hotels as premier lodging options within the Charleston and Mount Pleasant markets.

The position focuses on revenue generation, market development, and client relationship management, working closely with Marriott sales platforms and Bennett Hospitality leadership.


Essential Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals in transient, corporate, and group segments
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outside sales calls, networking, site visits, and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel managers, and local organizations
  • Conduct property tours, prepare proposals, and negotiate group and corporate contracts in accordance with Marriott brand standards
  • Represent the hotels at local CVB meetings, chamber of commerce events, and hospitality trade shows

Portfolio Sales Support

  • Generate business for the Residence Inn Charleston – Patriot’s Point while supporting sales initiatives for the Courtyard and Residence Inn Mount Pleasant properties
  • Promote the portfolio to maximize occupancy across all three hotels
  • Assist in positioning the hotels within the competitive Charleston and Mount Pleasant lodging markets

Pre-Opening & Market Development

  • Assist with the pre-opening launch of Residence Inn Charleston – Patriot’s Point
  • Conduct community outreach and establish relationships with local businesses and organizations
  • Build the sales database and prospect pipeline for the new property
  • Support local marketing initiatives and brand awareness efforts

Revenue Strategy & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Marriott Sales and Revenue teams to align pricing, market positioning, and promotions
  • Maintain accurate records in sales systems
  • Track prospecting activity, follow-up, and production reports
  • Participate in revenue meetings to forecast business, analyze trends, and adjust strategies

Client Experience & Coordination

  • Partner with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless transition rom sales to service delivery for all booked business
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key accounts and repeat clients
  • Uphold all Bennett Hospitality and Marriott brand values, service standards, and ethical sales practices


Qualifications

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
  • 2–3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably with Marriott brands
  • Experience in extended-stay hotel sales or corporate travel segments
  • Knowledge of the Charleston / Mount Pleasant business community

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to achieve revenue goals and develop strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with hotel leadership teams
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems


Working Conditions

  • Full-time position
  • Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends to attend client functions or industry events
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
  • Local travel within the Charleston and Mount Pleasant market


About the Property

Opening in early 2026, the Residence Inn Charleston – Patriot’s Point is a newly developed extended-stay hotel located at historic Patriot’s Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The property will offer guests modern suites, meeting space, and views of Charleston Harbor, with convenient access to downtown Charleston, local beaches, and major corporate offices.

The Sales Manager will help introduce this new hotel to the market while supporting a growing Marriott portfolio managed by Bennett Hospitality.
