Job Summary

Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong FMCG background and a passion for driving results in regional markets? SUMET is seeking Sales Manager to oversee and expand our sales operations in key country territories. You will lead a team of field sales representatives, build local partnerships, and drive growth of our EX-PIDO brand in urban, rural and semi-urban markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Supervise and support field sales teams and sales coordinators across assigned regions, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and address challenges.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
  • Execute marketing and promotional initiatives at the regional level in coordination with head office.
  • Coordinate with credit and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and proper customer credit management.
  • Report on regional sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
  • Lead periodic performance reviews and coaching sessions with Sales Coordinators to foster continuous improvement.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably with regional or country sales exposure.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experiences on the leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage large sales territories.
  • Strong knowledge of rural and semi-urban market dynamics in Tanzania.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with sales reporting tools and CRM systems is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within upcountry regions.
  • Fluency in English (Written and Spoken)
  • Reallocation to Dar es Salaam Tanzania is Mandatory
