Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, leading and developing the sales team, and
ensuring strategic alignment with company goals across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial
for managing key customer relationships and securing the financial health for the sales operation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and coach the sales team through joint customer visits and direct mentoring.
- Guide Sales Executives to close major deals and achieve high-value contracts.
- Identify and Onboard new Sales Executives, managing their full training and development cycle.
- Lead Portfolio Management: Ensure every Sales Executive always maintains a rolling prospect list of 150 qualified leads, with actively updated visit and activity status.
2. Performance and Strategy
- Own and exceed the assigned monthly and quarterly sales revenue targets/budget.
- Audit team performance against monthly plans, analyze time management, and implement improvement plans to close performance gaps.
- Ensure the entire sales team is strategically aligned and working toward a unified company mission.
- New Product Development (NPD) & Brand Launch: Actively identify, propose, and spearhead the import of new brands from Middle East, European and USA markets. Lead product development strategies with existing customers and successfully onboard new customers to drive sales for these new imported lines.
- Market Penetration and Insight: Continuously monitor and analyze the KSA food service market dynamics, competitor activity, and regulatory changes. Use this insight to suggest new market opportunities (sectors and geographic areas).
3. Account and Risk Management
- Visit Key Account Customers and prioritized smaller clients to maintain strong business relationships.
- Assess customer performance by tracking sales slowdowns and lost item history.
- Implement strategic growth actions like up-selling and cross-selling.
- Coordinate directly with the Finance team to ensure timely customer payments and confirm outstanding balances.
- Manage customer accounts with low sales or payment risk, including assessing risk and, when necessary, recommending account closure or legal escalation to Senior Management for debt recovery.
4. Compliance and Reporting
- Verify the validity of all customer company documents to maintain compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system), including the mandatory daily recording of all customer visits and activity reports.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and forecasts to the Senior Management team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales Management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams. Experience in the Food
Service or FMCG sector is a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial processes related to collections and credit management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (Arabic and Hindi are strong
advantage
