Sales Manager Freight Forwarding

India

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow our freight forwarding sales function. This role demands a strategic thinker who can build strong client relationships, drive revenue, and mentor a sales team while delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and market penetration
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across air, sea, and road freight
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with importers, exporters, and logistics partners
  • Lead and mentor a small sales team, setting goals and monitoring performance
  • Collaborate with pricing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and contribute directly to the company's bottom line
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions
  • Represent the company in meetings, client presentations, and industry events

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding
  • Strong industry network and knowledge of freight markets (air/sea/road)
  • Proven track record in client acquisition and revenue generation
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently with a result-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Freight Forwarding: 5 years (Required)
  • Sales Freight Forwarding: 5 years (Required)
