Job Title: Sales Manager – Lighting & Installation Solutions

Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and leading the sales strategy for lighting products and installation services. This role combines technical product knowledge with strong sales acumen to drive business growth, manage high-value projects, and lead a team of sales professionals. The Sales Manager works closely with clients including architects, consultants, contractors, and end-users to provide customized lighting and installation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement sales strategies specific to lighting systems, fixtures, and installation services.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments (residential, commercial, industrial, public infrastructure).
  • Work with marketing to design promotional campaigns and launch new products.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives and technical sales engineers.
  • Set individual and team sales targets; monitor progress and performance regularly.
  • Conduct training on product knowledge, industry standards, and customer service.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients: MEP contractors, consultants, lighting designers, architects, and facility managers.
  • Conduct site visits, technical presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Provide detailed quotations, coordinate technical submittals, and negotiate contracts.

4. Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with the project and installation teams to ensure delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Follow up on project milestones, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction post-installation.

5. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments in the lighting and electrical sectors.
  • Analyze customer needs and feedback to inform product development and service enhancements.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, forecasts, and customer interactions via CRM.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on sales performance, forecasts, and budgets.

Accountabilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
  • Increase market share in key verticals (commercial buildings, retail, hospitality, etc.).
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage profit margins effectively on quoted and executed projects.
  • Lead team productivity and morale.

Key Competencies

*Technical Expertise - Solid understanding of lighting technologies (LED, smart lighting, controls) and installation practices.

*Solution Selling - Ability to propose tailored lighting solutions based on project specs and client needs.

*Leadership - Proven skills in team management, coaching, and motivation.

*Project Management - Strong coordination and follow-up skills for handling lighting installations.

*Customer-Centric Approach - Ability to manage client expectations with professionalism and care.

*Negotiation & Closing - Competent in pricing strategy, handling objections, and finalizing sales.

*Communication Skills - Clear and persuasive communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.

*CRM & Digital Tools - Proficiency in CRM platforms, lighting design software (e.g., Dialux), and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in lighting, electrical, or construction industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful sales leadership.
  • Strong understanding of lighting products, control systems, and installation workflows.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with lighting design tools (e.g., Dialux, Relux) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD600.000 - KD800.000 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Salmiya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
