Role Type: Full-time – Leadership Position

Position Overview

The eligible Sales Manager should require deep relationships with key hospitals, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate company strategy into operational excellence.

The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth, develop key accounts, and build high-performing teams that support the company’s long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong professional relationships with a several key account hospitals in the UAE.
  • Develop and execute sales growth strategies, tactics, and action plans aligned with financial goals, customer trends, and company objectives.
  • Build and sustain long-term strategic partnerships with high-volume customers to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire Supervisors, Product Specialists, and Key Account Specialists to achieve operational excellence.
  • Effectively communicate company strategy to the field force while providing timely feedback to management.
  • Conduct market and client research to identify emerging needs, product trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate annual contracts with key accounts in a way that serves the interests of both stakeholders.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Strategic Sales Leadership

o Ensure effective execution of strategic sales plans by guiding the field force on technical and commercial aspects.

o Adopt and support organizational decisions while demonstrating readiness for change management.

o Assist in setting annual targets for all company products and drive initiatives to increase market share.

o Achieve sales objectives by closely monitoring UAE field force activities and performance.

Customer & Key Account Management

o Build and strengthen relationships with KOLs, purchasers, pharmacists, and hospital decision-makers.

o Conduct regular customer visits to ensure coverage and alignment with action plans.

o Identify new opportunities and prospective accounts to expand market presence.

o Support product listings, agreements, events, and campaigns through long-term stakeholder engagement.

o Manage product expiries and ensure timely liquidation of near‑expiry stock through client engagement.

Business Development & Market Insights

o Track market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities; provide insights to management.

o Contribute to business planning by submitting field-based recommendations to enhance growth.

o Ensure products are included in formularies and tender requests (government & private) through collaboration with sales, marketing, and market access teams.

o Follow up on insurance approvals (DDC & HAAD) and inclusion of products in BASIC plans in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Team Leadership & People Development

o Ensure recruitment of top talent and maintain a talent pipeline to meet present and future business needs.

o Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members through CRM tools and field accompaniment.

o Create development plans and train team members to enhance competencies and business readiness.

o Foster a positive team spirit built on collaboration, respect, and mutual support.

o Develop a successor for the Sales Manager role to ensure leadership continuity.

Operations & Performance Management

o Ensure accurate and complete usage of the CRM system by the entire field force.

o Track area prospection using updated customer databases and ensure coverage

expansion.

o Maintain harmony between Sales and Marketing teams to support launches,

conferences, and marketing initiatives.o Evaluate performance by identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement.

o Maximize ROI by tracking the effectiveness of events, promotional activities, and

marketing investments.

o Supervise payment collections and maintain the balance between revenue achievement

and receivables.

o Manage inventory across all product portfolios by monitoring market dynamics and

sales trends.

Compliance & Process Management

o Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements.

o Support the implementation of improved processes that enhance efficiency and

customer communication.

o Maintain full alignment with organizational policies and contribute to department-wide

governance.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science (mandatory)
  • 5–8 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, within in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Strong experience managing Supervisors, Product Specialists, and Key Account teams
  • Proficiency in CRM applications and MS Office
  • Strong relationships with UAE hospitals and healthcare authorities
  • Proven success in managing key accounts, tenders, and hospital formulary inclusion
  • Excellent communications skills in English and Arabic
