Sales Officer

Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through effective communication, relationship building, and strategic sales initiatives. The Sales Officer will play a key role in identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables:

  • Actively prospect and acquire new clients through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Stay updated on product features, benefits, and industry trends to effectively communicate with clients.
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, detailing progress towards targets and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, addressing their concerns and objections to close deals successfully.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and agreements.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels across the distribution network.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to streamline inventory flow.
  • Implement effective strategies for timely and efficient recovery of sales cash.
  • Work closely with the finance team to resolve payment issues and minimize overdue accounts.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure a healthy cash flow.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 Years of Experience in relevant field

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with the chemicals/Gases industry and understanding of market trends.
