Role Overview:

The Sales Operations Specialist plays a vital role within the Sales Strategy & Operations team, supporting the success of Safe-Guard’s field sales organization through operational excellence, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role supports the full lifecycle of sales operations, from recruiting and onboarding to performance tracking, fleet coordination, and career development. The Specialist works closely with Sales Leaders, Talent Acquisition, HR, and internal business partners to streamline systems, manage data, and ensure the sales team is equipped for performance and growth.

Reporting to the Sales Strategy Operations Manager, this position contributes to sales planning, forecasting, territory alignment, and the development of performance insights that guide strategic decisions.

Role Responsibilities:

Sales Operations Support

  • Partner with Sales Leaders, Talent Acquisition, and HR to manage recruiting, onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding for sales team members.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics including system access, training schedules, and fleet vehicle assignments.
  • Support data accuracy, reporting, and forecasting to ensure alignment between sales activities and business goals.

Fleet Management

  • Track vehicle assignments, mileage, and maintenance schedules in partnership with Enterprise Fleet Management.
  • Coordinate vehicle purchases, replacements, and sales; serve as the main point of contact for fleet inquiries.

Process Optimization & Documentation

  • Develop, document, and standardize key sales processes to drive consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Promote adoption of sales tools, systems, and best practices across the organization.

Data & Systems Management

  • Collaborate with the CRM and IT teams to maintain data integrity across Salesforce and other sales systems.
  • Develop and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pipeline health, sales cycle time, and conversion metrics.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.

Sales Performance & Enablement

  • Support territory planning, quota setting, and forecasting activities.
  • Help build frameworks to assess individual readiness, development needs, and career progression.
  • Partner with Training and Sales Leadership to design and deliver effective onboarding and development programs.

Compensation & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Finance to support bonus calculations and pay plan administration.
  • Assist in documenting and communicating sales compensation plans and performance standards.
  • Provide insights and dashboards that help leadership monitor and optimize sales performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Training teams to align sales operations with company initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and internal departments to resolve issues and streamline workflows.
  • Support implementation of strategic projects related to growth, forecasting, and capacity planning.


Job Requirements:

Experience & Education

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Business Analysis, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Power BI
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with process documentation or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to successfully clear a background check

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with incentive or bonus program administration
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms like Salesforce.com
  • Strong aptitude for change management and system adoption initiatives
