Role Overview
Eocean is scaling its enterprise commercial organization to drive adoption of next-generation CPaaS and intelligent engagement products across Pakistan’s largest enterprises. The Sales Engineer will support the full sales cycle by leading technical discovery, designing solutions, and helping enterprise customers understand how Eocean’s messaging, automation, and AI-powered engagement stack integrates into their systems.
The role demands strong technical grounding in APIs, integrations, enterprise systems, and a solid grasp of customer engagement and analytics platforms frequently used in the Pakistani enterprise landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Discovery & Solution Architecture
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with enterprise IT, digital, product, and marketing teams.
- Architect CPaaS-led solutions integrating SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email, xNotify, webhooks, and conversational AI.
- Map customer journeys and propose event-driven engagement flows using real-time triggers and data pipelines.
- Produce solution architectures, integration patterns, sequence diagrams, and documentation for each opportunity.
- Build PoCs, sandbox demos, and API test harnesses to validate technical feasibility for enterprise clients.
2. Sales Support & Enterprise Account Enablement
- Partner closely with Account Executives to shape opportunity strategy, influence decision-makers, and accelerate the technical evaluation process.
- Deliver tailored demos, product walkthroughs, and architectural briefings to CIO, CTO, CDO, Head of Digital, and Marketing leaders.
- Lead responses to RFPs/RFIs, architecture questionnaires, security assessments, and procurement evaluations.
- Identify technical blockers proactively and suggest workarounds and alternative architectures.
3. API & Integration Expertise
- Demonstrate mastery over REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth, JWT, and enterprise-grade security practices.
- Advise clients on integration with:
- Core banking systems
- CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Dynamics)
- Mobile apps and transaction engines
- Risk/fraud monitoring systems
- Marketing automation tools
- Assist with technical troubleshooting during pilot and evaluation stages.
4. Customer Engagement & Analytics Platform Expertise (Highly Preferred)
Candidates with hands-on experience using, integrating, or supporting the sale of customer engagement, retention, and analytics platforms will be strongly preferred.

Responsibilities tied to this skillset include:
- Advising enterprise clients on how CPaaS channels plug into existing engagement stacks.
- Designing cross-channel workflows that combine CPaaS triggers with analytics insights (activation, retention, churn, funnel progression).
- Speaking confidently about segmentation, cohorts, events, attribution, funnels, and engagement orchestration.
- Mapping data flows between CPaaS APIs and customer journey platforms to enhance personalization.
5. Inside Sales, CRM Hygiene & Lead Management
- Actively support inbound lead qualification and technical scoping.
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, meeting logs, and technical notes in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive).
- Collaborate with marketing to refine technical content, demo flows, webinars, and demand-gen campaigns.
- Support lead scoring, prioritization, and follow-up efforts based on intent and engagement signals.
6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Track CPaaS, messaging, automation, and AI trends in Pakistan, GCC, India, and global markets.
- Analyze competing platforms (Infobip, Twilio, Gupshup, ValueFirst) along with martech stacks (MoEngage, WebEngage, Mixpanel) to position Eocean effectively.
- Consolidate customer insights into structured feedback for Product & Engineering.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Delivery, and Support to ensure smooth handovers.
- Document customer requirements clearly and contribute to scalable templates, playbooks, and reusable technical assets.
- Provide training to internal teams on new CPaaS features and integration patterns.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of enterprise-grade API usage, REST, JSON, authentication, and webhook-based event delivery.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices concepts, and enterprise security models.
- Familiarity with integrating CPaaS products into large-scale digital ecosystems (banking, fintech, telecom, retail, logistics).
Customer Experience & Analytics Platform Knowledge (Highly Preferred)
- Experience implementing, selling, or supporting: Dengage, WebEngage, MoEngage, Amplitude, Adjust, Mixpanel, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of event tracking, funnel analysis, segmentation, attribution, lifecycle automation, journey design, and data-driven engagement.
Commercial Skills
- 3–6 years of sales, solution engineering, technical consulting, or enterprise inside-sales experience.
- Ability to simplify complex technical capabilities for senior decision-makers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting enterprise procurement cycles and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
CRM & Marketing Operations
- Proficiency in CRM tools for forecasting and pipeline management.
- Understanding of inbound marketing, lead scoring, MQL-to-SQL progression, and structured follow-ups.
