Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Commission-Only Sales Representative to expand our market presence and drive sales of our premium cannabis vapes and concentrates. This is a commission-based role, offering significant earning potential for a driven individual who can successfully acquire and manage new sales accounts.

This position primarily involves building and maintaining relationships with licensed cannabis dispensary buyers, and regularly collaborating with the Operations Lead on orders for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • New Account Acquisition: Proactively identify and target potential retail dispensaries and other qualified businesses to establish new sales accounts.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling sales presentations to showcase our product offerings, highlighting their unique features and benefits.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client accounts and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the cannabis market.
  • Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, report on progress, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Collaboration: Work with BotaPharm’s marketing and product teams to support promotional activities and product launches.
  • Delivery & Transportation Coordination: Assist with the pick up, staging, loading, and delivery of orders, coordinating with the Albuquerque based Distribution Team to ensure safe and secure transportation of retail orders to supply partners within the Southern New Mexico sales region.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably +2 years in the cannabis industry or a related or comparable field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective time management.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A strong network of contacts within the cannabis retail market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BioTrack, GrowFlow (or comparable software), and New Mexico Track-and-Trace is a plus.
  • Contractor must provide their own tools, such as a working motor vehicle, computer, and cell phone.
  • Must possess a valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record must be maintained.
  • Must maintain vehicle insurance; any vehicle used for any licensed cannabis transportation must be properly registered in the State of New Mexico.
  • Will be expected to travel within the Southern New Mexico sales region, specifically Sunland Park, Las Cruces, Lovington, Roswell, Carlsbad areas with occasional trips to the main distribution center located in Albuquerque.
  • Must be fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to New Mexico cannabis licensing and operation regulations, and coordinate with the Company’s Management to ensure compliance.
  • This position is active and requires kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, and extended periods of driving.
  • This Agreement is contingent upon the Contractor successfully passing a background check performed through the Department of Public Safety. The check will include criminal history, and a check of the New Mexico DOJ and FBI records. Disqualifying factors include convictions involving fraud, deceit, embezzlement, or anything identified within the New Mexico Chapter 30 Criminal Code offenses meeting the definition of a violent offense for the purpose of administering the Public Safety Assessment. The Company shall bear the cost of all background checks.

Job Type:

Flexible Hours, establish your own work schedule & itinerary of travel.

This position is offered as an independent contractor who shall receive a 1099 form instead of a W-2 from their employer, and therefore is not eligible for employment benefits like worker's compensation and minimum wage protections, and must manage their own business expenses.

A Contractor Agreement will be required.

Compensation:

  • Compensation based on experience, commission-based pay structure, determined by sales.
  • Commission is based on 5% of net sales.
  • Commission is paid monthly by the 5th on a cash basis.
  • Details of the commission structure, initial sales targets & expectations will be provided during the interview process.
  • Payment is delivered twice per month based on sales generated per bi-monthly sales reporting and payments collected.
  • Remuneration for the service is directly related to sales and payments collected rather than to the number of hours worked.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
