JOB SUMMARY

Salesman markets the company’s product (Readymixed Concrete) through the establishment of a customer data base within the region under the guidance of the Area Sales Manager. Ensures that prospective project information is accurate and up to date. Provide continued feedback to the Area Sales Manager on Market Conditions including available projects, current market prices and trends which lead to the achievement of output, market share, gross margins and cash flow projection.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Builds up a customer database and periodically updates this information.

· Generates monthly live jobs production forecast for the following six months. Prepares 6-month Production forecast for expected targeted Bid/Firm Jobs.

· Visit of Current and Prospective Customers, Consultants, Government Approving Entities, and prospect connections in the market.

· Ensure Sales figures for monthly reports and reviews are up to date.

· Responsible for generating enquiry, reviewing, estimating and preparing quotation.

· Responsible to receive customer requirements either by written specification or by verbal without written specification communicates with customer to clarify any ambiguous information in the customer inquiry.

· Reviews the customer requirements and conducts feasibility study whether to proceed or not with the quotation. Based on volume and criticality of the project requirements, Salesman shall discuss with the Technical and Production department the customer requirements.

· Requests to Technical Department to prepare the Mix Designs by submitting the customer specifications and other related information requested by Technical Department.

· Reviews the Mix Designs and raw material cost, indicates gross margin and seek approval from the Area Sales Manager.

· Follow up projects with the respective customer and update the project status into CS/4 application.

· Carry out investigation to find out reasons for losing the project. Details of investigation shall be maintained.

· Review Cash Customer requirements such as Mix Grades, Quantities and Distance of the project. Structure and duration.

· Review all proposed contract variations from the customer against the original contract conditions.

· Review all relevant documents including enquiry form on CS/4 application.

· Secures written approval from the customer for any accepted contract variations.

· Ensures that all customer complaints are promptly and effectively addressed and used to enhance relations.

· Gathers accurate market and competitors’ information. Providing updated market research and information.

· Updates the sales system on a timely basis, providing up-to-date sales report.

· Ensure working in line with the company’s QHSE Policies and procedures and that receives the required PPE for caring out the departmental work accordingly.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Education:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering/Business Administration

Experience Requirement/s:

· Minimum of 5 years engineering experience; with at least a minimum of 3 years Sales experience, preferably in the Construction industry.

Trainings and Certifications:

· Certified Sales Professional (if any)

· Certified Civil Engineer (and/or equivalent experience)

Pay: ﷼7,000.00 - ﷼9,500.00 per month
