Sales/Designer

Inspired Closets Charlotte, a residential custom closet and home storage solutions company serving the greater Charlotte area, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Custom Closet Sales Designer.

Job Summary

For 25+ years, Inspired Closets has been designing and installing custom organizational solutions that are both practical and beautiful. As a locally owned and operated company, we take pride in delivering a high-end client experience from the first consultation through installation.

Reporting directly to the owner, the Custom Closet Sales Designer will play a key role in meeting with clients, understanding their needs, and designing customized storage solutions that enhance how they live in their homes. This position combines sales, design, and client relationship management.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for design, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients in their homes to understand their storage needs and lifestyle
  • Measure spaces and create customized storage designs
  • Present design solutions and project proposals to clients
  • Generate sales from company-provided leads and successfully close projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the design and installation process
  • Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure projects are executed accurately
  • Maintain clear documentation of project measurements, designs, and communication
  • Deliver an exceptional and professional client experience from consultation through project completion

Skills & Experience

  • 3–7 years of sales experience with a strong track record of closing business
  • Experience in in-home sales, interior design, home improvement, cabinetry, furniture, or related industries is a plus
  • Strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients
  • Comfortable using technology and design software (training provided)
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once

Education & Qualifications

  • Background or interest in interior design, space planning, or home organization preferred
  • Sales-driven mindset with a passion for helping clients improve their spaces
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, as regular travel to client homes throughout the Charlotte area is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
