Position Overview
We are seeking a Salesforce Project Manager to support the delivery of Salesforce initiatives for a federal government client. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating technical and functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of Salesforce enhancements and releases.
The ideal candidate has experience managing Salesforce projects in a federal environment and is comfortable working with government stakeholders in a structured, compliance-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage the full project lifecycle for Salesforce initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Track scope, timeline, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
- Support Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Salesforce Coordination
- Coordinate with Salesforce administrators, developers, business analysts, and architects to support system enhancements and releases.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination as applicable.
- Ensure solutions align with business requirements and Salesforce best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for project-level communication with federal stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates, metrics, and briefings.
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
Risk, Quality & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure project documentation meets federal and contractual requirements.
- Support audits, reporting, and performance tracking as required.
- Maintain alignment with security, privacy, and governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience supporting a federal government client
- Experience working in a federal contracting environment.
- Ability to pass a Federal Background Investigation.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Washington, DC area as needed, up to one (1) day per week.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing Salesforce projects or enhancements.
- Experience managing project schedules, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certification (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or related).
- PMP, CAPM, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other Agile certification.
- Familiarity with federal compliance, security, or documentation requirements.
