Salesforce Project Manager

Job Title: Salesforce Project Manager
Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Hybrid – On-site as needed, up to 1 day per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Clearance Requirement: Ability to pass a Federal Background Investigation

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule with on-site presence required as needed, up to once per week, based on client or project needs.
  • Position supports a federal contract and requires adherence to client site policies and security procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Project Manager to support the delivery of Salesforce initiatives for a federal government client. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating technical and functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of Salesforce enhancements and releases.

The ideal candidate has experience managing Salesforce projects in a federal environment and is comfortable working with government stakeholders in a structured, compliance-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for Salesforce initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track scope, timeline, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Salesforce Coordination

  • Coordinate with Salesforce administrators, developers, business analysts, and architects to support system enhancements and releases.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination as applicable.
  • Ensure solutions align with business requirements and Salesforce best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project-level communication with federal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project status updates, metrics, and briefings.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure project documentation meets federal and contractual requirements.
  • Support audits, reporting, and performance tracking as required.
  • Maintain alignment with security, privacy, and governance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience supporting a federal government client
  • Experience working in a federal contracting environment.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Investigation.
  • Willingness to work on-site in the Washington, DC area as needed, up to one (1) day per week.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing Salesforce projects or enhancements.
  • Experience managing project schedules, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certification (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or related).
  • PMP, CAPM, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other Agile certification.
  • Familiarity with federal compliance, security, or documentation requirements.
