Design Sales Consultant – Window Coverings, Closets & Home Organization

Strickland’s Home is looking for a talented, driven Design Sales Consultant who is excited about interior design, customer relationships, and building a strong book of business.

For 85 years, Strickland’s has been a trusted industry leader in Southeast North Carolina. Today, Strickland’s Home serves clients through three growing divisions: Blinds, Shades & Shutters; Closets & Home Organization; and Custom Garages.

We are currently looking for a motivated sales professional to specialize in custom window coverings, closet systems, and garage organization solutions. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys design, loves working with customers, and has the drive to grow a territory through prospecting, networking, follow-up, and relationship building.

This is not an order-taking role. We are looking for someone who wants to own their territory, build their pipeline, create opportunities, and grow their income through consistent effort and strong sales performance. We offer a competitive, tiered commission structure that rewards results and allows you to be in control of how much you earn.

What You’ll Do

As a Design Sales Consultant, you will work directly with homeowners to help them create beautiful, functional spaces through custom blinds, shades, shutters, closet systems, and garage organization solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with clients to understand their needs, goals, style, budget, and timeline
  • Helping clients make confident decisions when purchasing custom window coverings and home organization solutions
  • Designing beautiful, practical custom closet and garage organization systems that fit each customer’s needs
  • Providing an excellent customer experience from the first appointment through the order process
  • Managing follow-up, communication, and customer relationships with professionalism and urgency
  • Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline through networking, prospecting, referrals, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Developing your assigned territory, which may include Brunswick, New Hanover, Pender, and surrounding areas
  • Creating new business opportunities through outreach to homeowners, builders, designers, real estate professionals, and other referral partners
  • Consistently working toward sales goals, activity targets, and territory growth expectations
  • Representing Strickland’s Home with professionalism, confidence, and a strong customer-first mindset

The right candidate is self-motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable being held accountable to results. You should enjoy building relationships, asking good questions, solving problems, and helping customers make decisions.

Experience in window coverings, closets, garages, interior design, home improvement, or in-home sales is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person who has the drive, professionalism, and sales mindset to succeed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
