ABOUT THE ROLE

The Part-Time Sample Librarian’s primary responsibility is to support showroom operations by maintaining and managing the Sample Library while meeting display and client needs. This role oversees the day-to-day functions of the library, including fulfilling in-person sample requests, processing web sample orders, coordinating shipments, and managing replenishment and returns.


Additionally, the Sample Librarian supports the sales team on the showroom floor as needed, including assisting with client interactions, answering phones, and ensuring a seamless client experience.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Fulfill all showroom and regional client web sample requests with accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and complete showroom sample requests to support client needs and sales activity
  • Manage and maintain inventory of memo sample trays, including conducting biannual cycle counts
  • Restock and organize sample inventory, including replenishment stock and returned items
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming replenishment shipments and showroom display products, including new collections
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of showroom supplies for sampling, packaging, and display, including kitchen and cleaning materials
  • Ensure the showroom is consistently neat, organized, and aligned with company presentation standards, including upkeep of sales tools and displays
  • Partner with the sales team to support daily operations and enhance the client experience
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales to prepare sample kits and presentation packets as needed
  • Coordinate with the team to manage discontinued items, including removal from inventory, proper packaging, and accurate recordkeeping

Requirements:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in library management, cataloging, or inventory related work preferred


Technical Skills

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus (training provided)

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to work
  • Professional presentation in personal conduct, work output, and product handling
  • Interest in interior design and the showroom environment
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (3–4 hours per shift)
  • Ability to safely use ladders (training provided)

Salary:

$20.25 to $21 hourly
