SAP ABAP Development Manager

Accenture is seeking a hands-on SAP ABAP Developer at the Manager Level to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will focus on designing, developing, and enhancing SAP custom programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows, ensuring seamless integration with Finance, SCM, and HCM modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP reports, forms (SmartForms/Adobe Forms), interfaces, and enhancements based on functional specifications.

• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with SAP best practices.

• Develop and support ABAP objects for SAP S/4HANA and ECC, including BAPIs, IDocs, ALE, BADI implementations, user exits, and enhancements.

• Support unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution, ensuring high-quality and error-free deliverables.

• Maintain technical documentation, code repositories, and ensure compliance with development standards.

• Actively participate in design workshops, sprint planning, and status meetings to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

• Provide guidance on performance optimization, code review, and system troubleshooting.

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on expertise in SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, IDocs, ALE, BADIs, user exits, and enhancements.

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and ECC development frameworks.

• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution processes.

• Familiarity with SAP best practices and development standards.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

• Experience in leading and mentoring junior developers, ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering); advanced degree or certifications (e.g., SAP ABAP certifications) preferred.
