Senior SAP Basis Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA , RISE with SAP and ECC (Private/Public Cloud) , and on-premise landscapes.

Position Summary:

The consultant will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, and administration of SAP systems across hybrid environments (Cloud + On-Prem). The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with SAP functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure high system availability, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Basis Administration

• Perform daily administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, PO, Fiori, Webdispatcher, etc.).
• Manage system copies, client administration, transport management , and performance optimization.
• Conduct SAP kernel upgrades, Support Package, and SAP Note implementations .
• Ensure system health checks , database growth analysis, and performance tuning.
• Manage background jobs, spool administration, and RFC connections .

2. SAP S/4HANA , ECC (On-Premise & RISE with SAP)

• Manage S/4HANA installations, conversions, and upgrades using SUM/DMO.
• Support RISE with SAP landscapes including connectivity, provisioning, and change management.
• Collaborate with SAP, Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and RISE operations teams for issue resolution.
• Administer SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager for system monitoring and maintenance.
• Support SAP Fiori, Web Dispatcher, and Gateway administration.
• Perform HANA database administration (backups, replication, parameter tuning, alerts).

3. Security & Compliance

• Maintain SAP user administration, roles, and authorizations (SU01, PFCG).
• Ensure compliance with IT security and audit standards .
• Manage SSL certificates, SSO, and Secure Network Communication (SNC) .

4. Cloud & Infrastructure Integration

• Manage and coordinate with Cloud teams (Azure/AWS/GCP) for SAP server, storage, and networking issues.
• Handle VPN, firewall, and routing configurations between on-premise and cloud systems.
• Support hybrid landscapes with connectivity between on-premise SAP systems and cloud-based applications (BTP, IAS/IPS).

5. Project & Support Activities

• Participate in S/4HANA conversion, RISE migration, ECC migration and landscape transformation projects.
• Support system refreshes, cutover activities, and go-live/hypercare phases.
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and change management requests .
• Provide 24x7 on-call support (as per project requirements).

Required Technical Skills:

• Min Bachelors Degree in related Field.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration for S/4HANA and ECC systems.
• Solid understanding of SAP HANA database administration (HANA Studio, Cockpit, SQL Console).
• Experience in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups for SAP HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP transport management , CTS+ , and ChaRM .
• Expertise in RISE with SAP operations , Cloud ALM, and SAP Solution Manager .
• Experience in SAP system upgrades, migrations (SUM/DMO), and OS/DB migrations .
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, Web Dispatcher, Gateway, and NetWeaver components.
• Proficiency in SUSE Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP applications.
• Familiarity with SAProuter , SAP Host Agent , SAPCAR , SWPM , and SUM tools.
