Position: SAP Consultant – SD(Sales/Product/Services)

Duration: 24 Months (Extendable)

Location: Doha

Role Objective

The objective of the role of SAP SD is to provide specialist support to Business for the SAP Logistics module, such as Sales and Distribution, logistics execution, etc. for Oil & gas and Petrochemical product processes. The role will involve daily support to business requirements as well as major projects and initiatives taken up during the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and guide business units and departments on enhancing business processes and functions by analyzing, benchmarking, and developing detailed SAP business process functional and technical specifications.
• Assess and recommend new technologies to improve systems and business processes by conducting research and presenting solutions to management for optimal outcomes.
• Translate QatarEnergy's business requirements into SAP functionalities through analysis, business process design and configuration, gap resolution, business process reengineering, and testing to deliver optimal SAP solutions.
• Ensure integration of business processes across modules such as SD, MM, FI, ISOIL, etc., and collaborate closely with the Technical Team to effectively manage security, roles, and authorizations.
• Clarify business processes, identify improvement opportunities and training needs, and ensure fulfillment of agreed customer expectations.
• Participate in and advise on the implementation of new business functions and solutions to complex business challenges, contributing to the achievement of sectional KPIs and targets aligned with the SAP Competency Centre and ICT objectives.
• Develop and manage Quality Management Systems (QMS) processes and procedures through proper documentation to standardize work practices and technologies.
• Plan and deliver SAP training for new processes through classroom or one-on-one sessions
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science or equivalent.
• SAP Certification relevant to the role, such as Sales & Distribution, Logistics or IS Oil is preferred.
  
  

Professional Experience

• Possesses more than seven years of professional experience, including a minimum of three years as a hands-on SAP Functional Consultant, specializing in the implementation and support of SAP logistics processes encompassing business process design, configuration, gap analysis, development, testing, and training.
• Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in SAP SD and MM applications such as sales, shipping, billing, pricing, and credit management etc.
• Has a solid understanding of integration touch points between the SD module and other logistics and finance modules, with the ability to establish interfaces to external systems based on business requirements.
• Shows a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement, and is capable of working independently, exercising mature judgement to plan and execute assignments while achieving set objectives.
• Exhibits excellent people management, problem-solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision-making skills, and consistently acts as an effective team player.
• Proven ability to successfully manage and communicate with a multicultural and multinational workforce.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.
