Job Description:
Accenture is seeking a hands-on
SAP REX Specialist
to drive the implementation and optimization of
Revenue Accounting and Revenue Recognition
processes in a major SAP transformation program. This role focuses on configuring SAP REX functionalities, validating revenue processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting end-to-end revenue lifecycle management. The SAP REX Specialist will collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and third-party partners to deliver accurate, timely, and audit-compliant revenue solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain SAP REX processes, including Revenue Recognition, Contract Accounting, Billing Integration, and Revenue Reporting.
Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to analyze revenue processes, define requirements, and validate revenue postings in the system.
Support testing activities by developing test scripts, executing unit testing and integration testing, and validating results to ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS 15 / ASC 606).
Assist in data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities related to revenue and contract data.
Identify and resolve functional issues, defects, and discrepancies in revenue accounting processes, escalating critical items when necessary.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, workflows, validation results, and reconciliation reports.
Act as a subject matter expert on SAP REX, providing guidance on best practices, process improvements, and compliance requirements.
Participate in workshops, meetings, and governance sessions, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of revenue-related solutions.
Required Qualifications:
5+ Years of Experience in SAP FICO REX including Revenue Recognition, Contract Accounting, and Billing Integration.
Strong expertise in SAP REX functionalities, including Revenue Recognition, Contract Accounting, and Billing Integration.
Proven experience in implementing and optimizing revenue accounting processes in SAP environments.
Familiarity with accounting standards such as IFRS 15 and ASC 606, with experience in ensuring compliance during solution delivery.
Practical knowledge of data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities for revenue and contract data.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve functional issues and discrepancies effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with business users, technical teams, and third-party partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., SAP certifications) preferred.
