The SAP Senior FICO Analyst is a senior functional expert responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and support of SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) solutions. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing financial systems aligned with enterprise financial processes and regulatory requirements.
The role focuses on solution quality, financial process optimization, and production stability and operates without direct people-management responsibility.

FI/CO Solution Design & Configuration

Design, configure, and support SAP FI and CO modules to meet enterprise financial requirements

Lead functional design workshops and translate business requirements into SAP configurations

Configure and support financial processes including GL, AP, AR, Treasury, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, and Product Costing

Third party application or SAP bolt on knowledge of; High Radius, Vertex, MBC, AFC
-
Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture standards
Integration & Financial Data Enablement

Lead and support integrations between SAP FI/CO and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Banking)

Support interfaces with external financial systems, banks, and reporting platforms

Ensure financial data integrity, reconciliation, and auditability
Testing, Deployment & Production Support

Lead functional testing, support UAT, and validate financial controls prior to production releases

Act as a senior escalation point for complex FI/CO defects and production issues

Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
Governance, Compliance & Controls

Support SOX ITGC and business process controls related to financial systems

Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, and GRC teams on audits and control remediation

Ensure configurations comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Process Optimization & Collaboration

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automation, and reporting

Partner with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, and Controlling stakeholders

Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior FI/CO analysts
Required Technical Skills

Design, configure, and support SAP FI and CO modules to meet enterprise financial requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

7–10+ years of experience supporting SAP FI/CO in enterprise environments

6+ years in a senior functional analyst role

10+ years supporting production SAP financial systems
-
Experience delivering complex, cross-functional finance system initiatives

8+ years total SAP finance experience
-
Experience with S/4HANA Finance

Experience supporting global or multi-country financial operations

Experience in regulated or SOX-controlled environments

SAP FI/CO certifications (preferred)
