The SAP SRM Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and S/4HANA Procurement solutions. This role ensures seamless support for end-to-end procurement cycles, supplier collaboration, and integration with Finance, Materials Management, and Sourcing processes.

The consultant must have deep process knowledge across Manage Master Data & Forms, Procure-to-Plan, Requisition-to-Fulfillment, and Source-to-Pay, ensuring procurement efficiency, compliance, and supplier performance optimization.

Key Process Knowledge

The Consultant Must Demonstrate Strong Expertise In

  • Manage Master Data & Forms – Supplier Master, Catalogs, Templates, Contracts, and Forms management
  • Procure to Plan – Procurement planning, requisition strategies, demand aggregation, and approval workflows
  • Requisition to Fulfillment – Shopping cart creation, requisitioning, sourcing, approvals, and fulfillment tracking
  • Source to Pay – Tendering, e-sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract management, PO processing, goods/services receipt, invoice verification, and payment cycles
  • Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLC) – Vendor onboarding, qualification, and performance management
  • e-Procurement Enablement – Catalog management, supplier self-service portals, and guided buying
  • Integration with Finance & MM – 3-way matching, GR/IR, and end-to-end P2P integration
  • Workflow & Compliance – Role-based approvals, audit trails, and compliance reporting
  • SRM UI/UX – Portal-based procurement transactions and forms customization

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement gathering and design workshops for SRM and Procurement processes
  • Configure SRM processes for procurement planning, requisitioning, sourcing, and supplier management
  • Implement forms and catalogs for supplier and material/service procurement
  • Design and optimize approval workflows for requisition and sourcing cycles
  • Support tendering, e-auctions, and contract lifecycle management
  • Integrate SRM with MM, FI, Ariba, and external supplier systems
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, tax rules, and financial controls
  • Provide user training, knowledge transfer, and support for procurement teams
  • Monitor supplier performance, procurement KPIs, and process automation
  • Support migration from SAP SRM to S/4HANA Procurement (if applicable)

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Information Systems
  • SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP SRM / S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (preferred)

Experience

  • 7–10 years of SAP Procurement experience with at least 3–5 years in SAP SRM
  • At least 2 full-cycle SAP SRM or S/4HANA Procurement implementations
  • Strong expertise in P2P, sourcing, supplier management, and procurement compliance

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Hands-on configuration of SRM procurement processes, catalogs, and supplier collaboration
  • Knowledge of integration with MM, FI, Ariba, and external supplier networks
  • Experience with workflow design, approval hierarchies, and procurement automation
  • Familiarity with Fiori apps for Procurement & SRM in S/4HANA

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with procurement, finance, and compliance teams
