SAP Workforce- Functional Lead Manager (HCM)

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on SAP Workforce Functional Lead (Manager Level) to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will provide functional expertise in Workforce Management, driving solution design, configuration, and business process alignment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, HCM teams, and technical partners to ensure solutions meet business requirements, adhere to SAP standards, and deliver measurable business value. This is a leadership role that requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Configuration:

    • Lead the design, configuration, and validation of Workforce Management processes in SAP.

    • Ensure solutions align with business requirements, SAP best practices, and organizational goals.

  • Business Analysis & Functional Specifications:

    • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into detailed SAP functional specifications.

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.

  • Collaboration & Integration:

    • Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and system functionality across modules.

    • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:

    • Oversee and support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

    • Validate solutions to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with business needs.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guides.

    • Ensure compliance with SAP standards, governance policies, and delivery best practices.

  • Leadership & Mentorship:

    • Provide functional guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Participate in workshops, meetings, and review sessions to ensure solution alignment with business objectives.

    • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to provide updates and manage expectations.


  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience in SAP Workforce Management or HCM functional roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

    • Proven experience in leading SAP Workforce Management solution design and implementation in large-scale transformation programs.

    • Strong understanding of Workforce Management processes, including time management, scheduling, and resource planning.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in SAP Workforce Management configuration and integration with other SAP HCM modules.

    • Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors and other related SAP solutions.

    • Proficiency in creating functional specifications, process flows, and configuration documentation.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • SAP Workforce Management or SAP HCM certification.

    • SAP SuccessFactors certification.
