Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Saute Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The position will be responsible for preparing delicious meals according to menu specifications while adhering to food safety guidelines. Must be able to create and carry out nightly specials as well as being qualified in fresh seafood and meats. Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights are required and this is a full time position. There is insurance plan available at employee discounted cost and savings plan is also available.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when needed
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Saute Cook or relevant position
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
