Scaffolding Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning: Reviewing project plans, determining scaffolding requirements, and selecting appropriate materials and equipment.

Erection and Dismantling: Overseeing the safe and efficient construction and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Safety Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of scaffolding structures to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Material Management: Ensuring the availability and proper storage of scaffolding materials and equipment.

Team Leadership: Supervising and coordinating the work of scaffolding crews, providing guidance and training as needed.

Communication: Maintaining clear communication with other construction teams, clients, and safety personnel.

  • Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and any incidents related to scaffolding.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of scaffolding systems, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to scaffolding structure and safety.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work at heights.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to scaffolding.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in scaffolding, construction, or related fields.
  • Certifications: Depending on the location and project, certifications such as CITB or CISRS may be required.
