Working closely with Shift Supervisors / Leads, Planners, Warehouse Staff and the local Newcold management team. The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that all customer Inbound and Outbound loads are set up for delivery or pickup. Gather and maintain all data and records relative to scheduling. Utilize computers, online portals (BlueJay, C3) 10 key calculators, telephones, photocopiers, etc., to either report shipping or receiving information or update system. This individual will consistently contribute to NewCold’s key performance areas, customer satisfaction, productivity, accuracy, while maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Result Areas Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Assist in meeting scheduling demands while building good customer relationships, and ensuring that all requests are responded to in the highest professional manner.
  • Set up all customer pickups and deliveries in the MLS system.
  • Update online scheduling portals (BlueJay,C3) with appointments
  • Respond to all customer and carrier calls that are received in the highest professional manner.
  • Run required reports for customer needs.
  • File paperwork in appropriate areas, cycle full file boxes into storage.
  • Distribute documentation to appropriate party.
  • Maintain facilities pickup and delivery schedule.
  • Assist General Manager and Operations Manager with any special requests.

Requirements: Education, Experience and Physical demands

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
  • Special Skills: Detail and customer service oriented. Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem solving, decision making, excellent mathematical skills.
