What We Are Seeking

We are looking for a detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team and ensure the timely and efficient scheduling of transportation activities. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing transportation schedules by coordinating with drivers, carriers, and logistics teams, ensuring timely deliveries while optimizing routes and costs, all while adhering to transportation regulations and resolving any issues that may arise during the delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation logistics for shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to confirm schedules and special requirements.
• Monitor and track shipments during transit to proactively address any delays or issues.
• Utilize scheduling software and tools for efficient route planning and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, routes, and other pertinent data.
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routes and reduce operational costs.
• Assist in the analysis of transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide support in managing fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance schedules and driver assignments.
• Prepare reports on transportation schedules and performance for management review.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation coordination or logistics scheduling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• High level of accuracy in managing schedules and shipment details.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected changes.
