Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Scheduling Supervisor to oversee and optimize production scheduling operations. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, managing job timelines, and ensuring departments have the information, materials, and schedules needed to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate is organized, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities between production, operations, purchasing, and sales teams.
  • Track job progress and proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to supervisors, leads, and relevant personnel.
  • Review job orders, capacity forecasts, and labor availability to build efficient schedules.
  • Monitor material availability and collaborate with purchasing to avoid delays.
  • Maintain accurate job data, updates, and documentation within scheduling systems.
  • Assist in planning long-range capacity and staffing needs.
  • Lead and mentor scheduling staff, ensuring consistency and accuracy in workflow.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of workflow planning, capacity scheduling, and production timelines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
