Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated School-age Lead Teacher to inspire and guide children during their after-school hours and summer programs. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood education strategies.
- Lead classroom activities that support childhood development, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, organization, and effective classroom management practices.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student progress, assessments such as standardized testing, and behavioral observations.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere by utilizing effective communication skills and engaging teaching methods tailored to working with children of various ages, including preschoolers and toddlers.
- Support child welfare by promoting inclusive practices, ensuring adherence to daycare standards, and implementing Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate.
Skills
- Strong background in childhood development principles with experience in classroom management and childcare settings.
- Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience working with children of different ages, particularly in preschool or toddler care environments.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and external specialists.
- Ability to plan lessons effectively while managing classroom dynamics to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to assess student progress.
