Duties

Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities based on weekly themes
Supervise children during before- and after-school program hours and full-day summer sessions
Attend and monitor students on field trips, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and activity space
Guide and support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development
Encourage participation, creativity, and positive peer interactions
Follow program schedules, routines, and licensing guidelines
Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student needs and progress
Assist with setup, cleanup, and preparation of daily activities and materials

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
Previous experience working with school-age children in a classroom, childcare, or camp setting preferred
Ability to supervise and ensure the safety of children in both classroom and field trip environments
Strong communication skills and basic computer skills
Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
Valid driver’s license preferred
