Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a daycare setting
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular updates to parents/guardians
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular communication and addressing any concerns or questions
- Provide a full day of supervision of school age children on days of school closings.
- Ensure welcoming and safe arrival of children after school.
- When needed assist in the develop individualized learning plans for children with special needs, in collaboration with parents and other professionals
Must love children, be creative and be consistent with attendance. The right candidate will possess good skills in relationship building with families and center staff, be energetic patient and love children.
We are looking to hire immediately. For immediate consideration candidate most possess current child abuse, criminal background and FBI clearances as well as a current health assessment. Must have or be willing to take the Health and safety Basics certification course as well as the mandated reporter training. We are looking for individuals who will supervise and interact with the children consistently.
The minimum education required is a candidates with a high school diploma but a CDA, Associates or four-year degree in Early Childhood Development, any humanities or another related subject area will have a competitive edge. We are looking to hire immediately so persons with current clearances and certifications should apply.
Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour
Requirements:
- Preferred: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or 9 Credit hours
- Necessary: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
