Job Description:
Position Title: School-Based Support Specialist
Location: Boonville, Missouri
Department: School-Based Services
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Position Overview
Burrell Behavioral Health is excited to announce an expansion of our School-Based Services Department!
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of School-Based Support Specialist. This position plays a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral success of school-aged youth through direct intervention and collaboration with educational staff.
The successful candidate will provide on-site services within designated schools and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Primary Responsibilities
Monitor and document client progress within treatment programs
Assist in the development of individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
Facilitate access to mental health services and community resources
Support clients in acquiring and practicing daily living skills
Promote engagement in social, vocational, educational, and recreational activities
Implement wellness and rehabilitation strategies tailored to client needs
Experience and Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related human services field, OR
Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with two years of related behavioral health experience; OR
Any four-year combination of higher education and two years of qualifying experience; OR
Associate’s degree in applied science in behavioral health support; OR
Four years of full-time qualifying experience in the field.
Qualifying experience includes providing one-on-one or group services with a focus on recovery/resiliency; teaching coping skills; supporting school, community, or employment functioning; and implementing treatment plan objectives.
