Job Title: School CounsellorJob Summary

The School Counsellor supports students’ academic, emotional, social, and behavioral development. The role involves providing guidance, conducting counseling sessions, assisting students with career planning, and working closely with teachers and parents to promote student well-being and success.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling & Support

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions
  • Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
  • Identify students needing additional academic or psychological support
  • Develop intervention plans for students with specific needs
  • Maintain confidential counseling records

Career & Academic Guidance

  • Guide students in subject selection and academic planning
  • Assist with career exploration and goal setting
  • Organize career guidance workshops and awareness programs
  • Support senior students with college applications and career pathways

Parent & Teacher Collaboration

  • Conduct parent counseling sessions when required
  • Provide guidance to teachers on managing student behavior
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings
  • Communicate student progress and concerns appropriately

Student Well-being Programs

  • Conduct workshops on stress management, bullying prevention, mental health awareness, and life skills
  • Develop and implement school-wide well-being initiatives
  • Promote positive behavior and a safe school environment

Crisis Management

  • Support students during crisis situations
  • Identify signs of abuse, neglect, or mental health concerns and report as per school policy
  • Coordinate with external professionals when specialized intervention is required

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field
  • Certification or license in school counseling (as per local regulations)
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience (school experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
