Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Manager / Academic Director to oversee the academic and operational functions of our school. This leadership role is responsible for driving academic excellence, managing faculty performance, implementing curriculum standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day school operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, committed to fostering a positive and productive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:

  • Oversee the implementation of the school’s academic programs, ensuring alignment with national/international standards.
  • Monitor curriculum delivery, instructional quality, and student performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with subject coordinators to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.
  • Organize academic audits, assessments, and reports to track progress and performance.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous learning for both students and teachers.

Staff & Teacher Management:

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development workshops.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
  • Manage staff schedules, leaves, and ensure adequate classroom coverage.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the school including schedules, calendars, and events.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with administrative departments (HR, admissions, etc.) to support smooth school operations.
  • Address and resolve operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Parent & Community Engagement:

  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding academic progress, school policies, and events.
  • Foster a positive school culture and maintain strong relationships within the school community.
  • Organize parent-teacher meetings, open houses, and school-wide activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in a school leadership or academic coordination role, principal.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, academic planning, and educational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using school management software and digital tools is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification or licensure.
  • Experience in CBSE /MP Board Curriculum(as applicable).
  • Multilingual capabilities (if relevant to the school context).

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
