Position Overview
The School Receptionist & Front Office Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role is essential to maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient school environment. The position combines front-desk responsibilities with general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Communication
- Supporting the Catholic educational mission of the school, upholding school policies
- Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
- Manage visitor check-in/check-out procedures and maintain security protocols
- Provide accurate information regarding school policies, schedules, and events
Administrative Support
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying, and scanning
- Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with attendance tracking and reporting
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, forms, and school communications, including the weekly school newsletter
Other Responsibilities
- Provide basic assistance to students (e.g., late passes, directions, contacting parents)
- Other duties as assigned by principal.
